this week, a commission print of my early Maori Warrior character, original for a t-shirt design.  i was really excited about this, look how big my baby has grown!!!

like all parents, i was a little worried at the beginning…. the original pink on the shirt was a fluorescent color, which i thought might be impossible to replicate with giclee printer, luckily we’re able to get a very close hot pink in 2nd color test, and i boost up the brightness of green a little bit to give that dizzy-3D-effect even crazier! the effect really kicks in when you stair in front the giant print…..(i hope that buyer dont puke on the artwork!) :P

p.s. new toy in production, also preparing a new tee, photo shoot, swing tag making! might see that as soon as next week?! :)

this is a letter G i did for an international charity T-shirt design for Japan, project organized by Lemon One, a master of graphical lettering! 12 artists are involved in the project, each artist took a letter from GANBARE NIPPON! (がんばれ 日本), and design a custom letter for it!

guess what?! PANDARA is rocking for Japan, this is not an ordinary death metal he normally plays, can you tell which tune he is rocking? :-)

from the letters i’ve peeked so far, this tee is looking super cute, i can’t wait to see it all put together! more updates to come…. at the mean time you can find out ways to help Japan here!

first piece in the new year is a revisit of a design i did last year, adding more depth to it, i decide to design a kowhaiwhai pattern as backdrop, its more challenging than i expected, sometimes simple things can be trickier than you think, just like open pickle jars…

new prints are getting ready, im signing & numbering them before send out to Chicago for a group show next week! i’ll have the exhibition details up very soon…

yesterday i was shooting photos/videos of some newly finished custom toys(yes, more than one!), it was so much fun customizing them, lots of new ideas pop up during the process, i think we have a new character joining Hollow Threat family very soon! >:)

i’ll post some W.I.P as soon as i sort out the stack of photos!! by the way, i’ve added some new works to portfolio page, reorganized a little, in an order that make more sense……..to me! :P

p.s. an idea of valentine edition toy just came up to me today, what can it be?! 2011.1
