Scarygirl 10th Anniversary Exhibition
ScaryGirl blind box was the first designer toy i ever bought(cant believe its been 10 years already?!), and one of the reason i got hooked to this scene! its a great honor to be invited by the artist that inspired me, and in the same show with so many admiring artists!! words cant express how excited i was when i working on this piece, i get to work on my favorite scarygirl characters(scarygirl & bunniguru), and throw in my Sushi Kaiju in the scarygirl universe, and it feels like sushi...

Making of Sunshine BEVIL
heres a little walk through of my process of making Sunshine BEVIL... wonder why the odd edition number(8)? thats all the blank BEVIL left from my first batch! (it'll be awhile until you see more BEVIL again!) this time BEVIL colored his hair in orange! flipped for 2nd tone, yellow for the body! then hand painted eyes with custom mixed orange...and finish with gloss varnish(not showing in pic hehe) preparing the header cards... and pack these little sunshines for NYCC! :) the name didn't came...
October Preview…?!
another belated post...this is suppose to be a preview from september, just realize its already october! life has been extremely busy, i didn't even have time to unpack my luggage from singapore, so you can expect more singapore contents to come later, apart from that, i've been working non-stop in past weeks for NYCC exclusives, and a new print for Nathan Jurevicius's group show... my collaboration cellphone cases are also releasing in october, this factory prototype was shown at STGCC...

a little recap of STGCC happened earlier this month, it was a 2 days event held in the beautiful landmark of Singapore, the 'Marina Bay Sands'!! this monster building is huge....seriously! we probably get in from the wrong entrance, took us about 30mins walking to the other end of the building(take my word, read signs carefully before you begin your adventure in MBS, you could easily get lost and trapped here whole day!) ....here at Toysrevil's booth, always crowded and busy! a closer look at...

Making of Toysrevil Edition BEVIL!
when i first design BEVIL, there are some colors i had in mind thats "MUST DO(s)", and devil-ish red is an obvious one, but i never thought it'd be this soon, the opportunity to work with toysrevil on this color is a perfect match! trying to replicate toysrevil's signature eyes, this is trickier than i thought, normally i have all the detail painting areas sculpted so they are easy to follow, but the extra 'eye brows' makes painting difficult, so i decided to mask it out instead, and trying...
